Testimony Of God's Voice In A Crisis Situation

Testimony about my son, Sean, and how God spoke to me:

My son's name is Sean. On Tuesday he was ill with an upset stomach (at least that is all I thought it was). I had given him some medication for his tummy and prayed over him several times during the night, but on Wednesday morning he was rather drowsy. And that is when I touched his forehead and he was burning up!!! I gave him some Tylenol and prayed over him, but he didn't seem to improve. He was getting more and more 'out of it'.

My husband had left the house early in the morning and was in downtown Accra, so there was no way for me to reach him. I just kept praying over Sean and asking the Lord to touch him. At that moment I distinctly was told (by the Lord) to take his blood pressure. (We have a instrument for measuring blood pressure in our home). I picked up the machine and took his blood pressure and it was 112/42. (I can't remember if it was 112 or 120, but I do remember the lower number was 42.) I was about to put it away, and it came to me again TAKE IT ONE MORE TIME This time when I took it, his pressure had fallen to 107/33. He began to vomit, and the Lord told me that I had to rush him in immediately. (I should explain at this point...in case you are wondering why I didn't call an ambulance...I am living in Ghana, West Africa and in an area where there are NO ambulances.)

The next thing which was INCREDIBLY God, was that my husband ALWAYS takes the vehicle when he goes out....BUT for some reason that day a church member offered to drive him into Accra...so he left the van at the house. I managed to get my son in the van, then I put the key in and the van wouldn't start. Our van acts up from time to time, and this seemed to be the time....when it does act up...we never know HOW or WHEN it will move...and usually it requires people to push it and there was no one around (except the Lord :))

I cried out to God, "Please Lord start this vehicle!" It started IMMEDIATELY after I prayed that prayer!!! (Later my husband questioned me about how I had started it, and when I told him....he said what I had done actually should have JAMMED it -because it is a diesel engine- but God was bigger than all the mechanical problems!!)

I was debating between two different hospitals to take him to, and the Lord specifically told me WHICH ONE I should go to (only to learn later, if I had gone to the other one Sean wouldn't not have been treated that quickly and that would have been the difference between him living or dying!!)

The moment we got him inside they took his blood pressure and it had dropped. He had lost consciousness by this point and the doctor immediately ordered that he be put on a drip. And that was a story in itself, because his veins kept collapsing. They were saying that because he was soo severely dehydrated his veins were not holding up well. Praise God Sean was too 'out of it' to notice them pricking and poking at him. I prayed "Lord I know you wouldn't have gotten him this far to not let everything work out"....they finally got the drip in and before that they used the same hole to draw blood (for testing purposes).

The doctor wasn't very hopeful, and was trying to 'prepare' me in case things didn't work out well. But God kept telling me, "EVERYTHING WILL BE OK!!" The funny thing was in the morning I had been jotting down the plan for the day (as the activation had told us to do)...I had been praying over every "plan" and asking God to direct me...and here I was right smack in the middle of a battle (which hadn't figured into my 'neat' plan for the day) and there God was right by my side telling me exactly what to do and what NOT to feel. (In other words, I felt soo 'afraid' in the natural seeing my son in that condition... not having anyone there with me... But God just came down and was with me!!) When tears began to well up in my eyes, I felt as though he just wiped them away. In fact, as they welled up I thought "How silly of me to feel like crying when I know God has already told me everything will be alright".

Once they tested his blood they discovered he had entaric fever (spell?) which is a form of typhoid fever which often comes as a companion to malaria. He had to have four of the 500 ml I.V.s before he even felt a twinge of an urge to urinate. So the doctor said he was extremely dehydrated. The kind of I.V. they gave him was high in potassium because the doctor said he suspected he was totally depleted of his potassium, and as a result his muscles were just not doing well (and that included his heart).

That evening when he had regained consciousness, the doctor came in to stand by the bed, and the doctor himself admitted that it was a miracle that Sean was ok!!! I know that if it hadn't been for God and HIS guidance and HIS intervention into the situation....things would not have turned out as they did!! I really THANK God for HIS love and kindness and protection!!!!! He is a miracle working God!!!!

I thank God that through this class {a class offered through the prophetic-school list on hearing God's voice}. Over the past several weeks, my spiritual ears have been fine tuned to the voice of God!!! I thank God for allowing me to participate in this class and for all that He has taught me through the teaching and the activations and the various contributions.
