The Past is Past

In the Old Testament, did I command my people to build alters to remind them of their mistakes. When the children built the golden calf after coming out of Egypt. Did I say to them, Children, right here, build me a alter to remind you of how you screwed up by building this golden calf. When the children worshiped other god's in the high places did I say, Now children, go to all the high places and build little alters to remind you of how unfaithful you were to me.

No I did not.

I told them to build alters to remind them of my faithfulness. I had them build alters where I had brought great deliverance. I had them build alters to remind them of my great Love and care for them. To remind them they could trust Me. That they are My children, And I am their God.

Do not build alters out of memories of your mistakes and failures. Build them to remind you of My goodness, of My love, of My Mercy towards you.

God is so Good,
