The Prophetic School Training Mini-Course Series... a series of short classes and (teaching and discussion) that will be offered on the prophetic-school list. Various members of the leadership core teach courses on various topics relevant to the prophetic.

Experiencing God

Dates:
Mondays, beginning Oct 27, 2008; lasts for 16 weeks.

Course Contents/Description:
The goal of this teaching series is twofold. One goal is to teach you to better recognize and respond to God when He meets you in subtle ways. The other is to teach you how to press into God and how to seek direct (supernatural) encounters with Him.

This course will consist of 16 lessons, exploring the various ways that we can seek God so that we can experience encounters with Him. It will cover the following topics:

  • Why God Masks His Voice And His Glory
  • How God Gives Us Glimpses Of His Glory
  • What Our Response Should Be To His Presence
  • Finding God In The Mundane
  • Finding God in Everyday Life
  • Finding God in Hardship and Difficulty
  • Finding God In The Midst of Apparent Failure
  • Pursuing God's Presence Through Prayer and Devotions
  • Pursuing God's Presence Thor ugh Worship
  • Pursuing God's Presence By Waiting On Him
  • Drawing Inspiration From Other's Experiences With God
  • Explicitly Seeking An Encounter With God
  • Cultivating His Presence Through Radical Obedience
  • Submitting Our Thoughts And Imagination To Him

In addition, the series will share a few inspiring testimonies of powerful personal encounters with God.

(The "Prophetic-School" list will continue to function as it has been with other discussion as well, centered around topics pertaining to the prophetic; but in addition to the "regular stuff" we will be giving and receiving feedback about the information contained in each weeks teaching article.)
