Lessons From the Missions Field

GodSpeak International has been sponsoring several short term missions trips. In November-December of 2000, they sent a two person team to India, Teresa Seputis and Bret Wade. For trip details, see India Missions Trip. A short synopsis of the purpose of the trip is:

Bret and Teresa will be training local pastors at a Bible college. This is in a part of India so rural that there is only one road through the village. New pastors from all over the state come here for a year of training, and then return to their cities after graduation as pastors. They will be teaching them to hear God's voice, to move in the prophetic, to minister in God's power, to break enemy strongholds. The teaching will be a combination of teaching from scripture and of practical application.

When Teresa was last there in December of 1996 as part of another team, God demonstrated His power in tangible ways, including healing the sick and turning away a monsoon that threatened to destroy the whole villege. Many gave their lives to Jesus at that time. Some of the converts from that trip are the pastors that Teresa and Bret will be training. They will also be ministering to, encouraging and strengthening the local believers there.

In addition, Bret and Teresa will be holding several outreach (evangelistic) meetings in the rural villages around the state.
