God Confirms His Word

(Aug 3, 1999)

God has a way of making Himself known!! And He has such a divine sense of humor in terms of how He does it!!

A tad of background. About a year and half ago, a prophet friend of mine had been in the area and we spent some time together. At one point during that visit, we were walking through the UN plaza in San Francisco .. where they have a globe of the world etched into the concrete. My prophet friend had me stand in the middle of that globe and prophesied to me that the Lord had given me the world and would be sending me to the nations. To confirm it, God's spirit showed up right there in the middle of the plaza and touched us both. It was a rather powerful experience for me, and I find that plaza has become a special place to me. I pass through it once a week on my way to GodSpeak's PO box. Each time I make a point of walking over the globe and reminding God of His promise to send me to the nations. I ask Him to "give me the world for Jesus" each time I pass through there.. it is sort of like a covenent place to me.

Recently, this prophet friend and I had a disagreement and I walked away from it with the impression that this friend was mad at me and did not like me any more.

Today I was on my way to work and God told me to swing by the PO box.. which brought me to pass through the UN Plaza. This was the first time I'd gone through there since feeling "tension" regarding this prophet friend. For the first time I did not walk on the globe, but found myself wondering and praying, "Lord if is mad at me, does this negate the word they give me? Or does that word (promise of being sent to the nations) still apply?"

I pondered that the two blocks as I walked to the Post office. I don't know why, but I felt impressed that my answer would somehow be related to what was in the box. (Now in the natural, I did not really expect anything to be in the box... it had only been a few days since the last time I checked it. But I could not shake that impression.)

Well, I got to the box, opened it and found a letter and a notice of a registered mail that I had to pick up at the desk. I had never received a registered letter at a PO box address before, so I was surprised and puzzled by it.. so much so that I did not even look at the letter as I went to pick the registered mail. I got it from the clerk and noticed how late it was.. so I rushed back to the BART station.. still not having looked at any of the mail. But as I passed the globe, I could not resist.. I walked over it and reminded the Lord of His promise to send me to the nations... I noticed that I had stepped on two contenents as I walked through the globe... South America and Eastern Europe. I had intended to step on Africa as I am about to travel there, but I miscalculated and hit South America instead. I remembered thinking "oh well" and kept walking.

I got to the BART platform and suddenly God reminded me of the question I'd asked Him 20 minutes earlier.. did the word about the nations apply even if the prophet who gave it is mad at me now? Then God spoke a very clear "yes" to my spirit, inidicating the word originates from Him not from the prophet. Then He told me, "for confirmation, look at the mail you are holding in your hand. Pay attention to where it comes from."

I was holding two envelopes. The first was from Hungury... Eastern Europe! Hum.. interesting! The next was from Costa Rica. Wow!! That is in South America!!! Up to now, I have not had any international mail at the PO box (except for Canada, which is such a close neightbor). Immagine that, getting mail from countries in the two contenents I had just symbolicly stepped on at the "covenent globe"!

Does God have a dramatic flair or what?? My spirit began to rejoice and I started laughing!

I love the way God answers my questions! He has such a lively and delightful way of surprising me and making Himself clear all at the same time! God is so neat, and I love being His servant!
