                               My Word

My word is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword. It 
penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges 
the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.(Hebrews 4:12)

When you read My word do not read it like you would read a story book 
saying "Ah, that is nice".  But read it as if you were looking for a 
treasure hidden in a place only the persistent and sincere will find.

Let My word saturate you so that you are then able to produce living and 
eternal fruit. I desire for you to produce much fruit in My kingdom.  When 
you read My Word like a book the words will simply pass through you. You 
may acknowledge My truth with your mind but not with your heart.  I desire 
for My word to become a part of you. I desire for My word to be planted 
solidly in your heart. This can only happen when you not only read My 
word but also study it and meditate on it. 

I desire you to be washed with water through My word (Eph 6:26). That
can only be accomplished if you devote the time to study My Word. 
I have given you My Holy Spirit to teach you and counsel you. Invite 
Him into your reading. Let Him help you find the pearl that is hidden 
in the depths of My word.

As you digest My word, it will be firmly planted in you. It is like a 
seed; as you read, the seed of My word is first planted.  Everything 
that bears fruit will need to be planted first.  It has to be planted 
in fertile ground in order to grow. When you read My word in a hurry, 
the seed is just laying on the surface and does not have an opportunity 
to sprout and put its roots deep into the ground.  As a result, the seed 
will die or become vulnerable to the enemy who loves to kill, steal, 
and destroy.

I desire for you to not only know My word but to live it. As it becomes a 
part of you, everything you do and say is seasoned with My truth. Living 
My word means that it will be your standard by which you measure 
everything. This standard is My standard and it does not accept a 
compromise no matter what the cost.

I see that you desire to be closer to Me. You desire an intimate 
relationship with Me. You desire to hear My voice clearly and accurately. 
Familiarizing yourself with my word is one of the keys in recognizing 
My voice.  When you saturate yourself with My word, you give Me a 
vocabulary to speak to you with.  Sometimes I will speak only one word to 
you and then require you to go and look up that word. If you spend much 
time in My word you will be quick to recognize My promptings. However, if 
you do not know My word, you may interpret My prompting as your own voice
or as a fleeting thought. 

My people do not hear My voice because they don't recognize My voice.
And they don't recognize My voice because they do not spend enough time
getting to know My voice through My written word.

Remember, I am the living word. When you digest My word it will bring
life to your spirit, soul and body. It will bring forth eternal fruit. 
It will grow like a seed and produce faith because you will discover
the treasures of promises hidden in My word. You will learn about Me.
You will learn to understand My character. You will receive hope 
because of all the promises I give you through My word.  You will 
discover that I am a faithful and generous God who desires good things 
for His people.

The better you know My word, the easier it will be for you to recognize
the enemy's lies. My word is truth. There is no other truth besides My 
truth. My truth will set you free. When you stand up My truth against a 
lie, the lie is exposed easily. However, if you do not know My word it 
will be more difficult for you to recognize the lie. I would that you know 
My truth. I desire for you to be able to hear Me clearly. I have been 
speaking all along but you do not recognize My voice because you don't 
understand the vocabulary I use to speak to you with.

Come and feast on My word. Chose today to increase your time with
Me in My word so that I may be able to bring life to those areas
that are dead but need to be alive.
