                               Stillness

Your cries reach Heaven and reach My ears. Child, I hear. Your cries
echo through the distance and they do reach Me, for I am God Who hears.
I hear you cry out.

I have given you My word. Learn from it, eat of its fruit. Let it be
your bread, feed from it and grow in strength. I have promised to never
leave you. Sometimes I am silent. Sometimes it seems that I have taken
My presence away, and you feel that you walk alone in the place you are
in. But you are never alone.

Remember what I did for My disciples. I watched as the disciples' boat
was tossed in the storm. I watched and I saw. I never left them; I was
never, for a moment, unaware of their plight, and I walked to them
through the storm.

I come through the storm, I come through the battles, I come through
the loneliness, the silence, the place of weariness. Child, let Me
tell you: There is not one place you will travel through where you will
travel alone. I am God Who is with you--yesterday, today, tomorrow--I
am always there with you. Be still, be still and hear Me, be still and
know Me. Be still and let Me work My glory in your life.

In the stillness, I will calm this storm. I will refresh you. I will
give you insight. How can you hear from Me when you bustle about so?
How can you hear Me when the cries of the world resound in your tired
ears? Listen. Listen and you will hear. Be still a while, let Me give
you rest.
