                         Do Not Fear

Do not fear the attacks of the enemy, little one, for I am greater
than all of the power of the devil. I say to you again: do not be
afraid when your enemy, the devil, attacks you. He is raging to and
fro on the earth, seeking whom he may devour--but I have given you
authority to trample on snakes and scorpions, and over all the power
of the devil, and he will by no means hurt you.*

He may cause you some discomfort in this life, but he cannot touch
you in the life that is to come, nor can he do you any lasting harm.
He is not nearly as powerful as he seems, and he cannot do more harm
to any of My own that what I permit. And I will not permit him to
throw more at you than you can bear. My desire is not for you to be
beaten up, but for you to learn to war, so that you may overcome all
of the whiles and strategies of the devil against you.**

Remember how the devil desired to sift My servant Peter like sand,
hoping to destroy the kingdom work that I had ordained for him to
do? He caused Peter to deny Me and fall into a despair, making him
believe that he disqualified himself from the destiny that I had chosen
for him. Peter's hope was temporally destroyed and he believed he had
no future with Me. The devil's attack on Peter was indeed severe, but
I came to him in it. I met Peter on the shore when he gave up the hope
of his calling, when he decided to return to his old vocation, when he
went fishing once again. Yes, I met Peter in the midst of his attack,
and I restored him. Then this same Peter (who the devil through he
had defeated) became so filled with My power and authority that even
his shadow broke enemy oppression off of people's bodies and healed
the sick. The devil's plans against Peter did not succeed because I
was with Him. And the devil's plans against you will not succeed
either, for I am with you as well.

Peter was targeted for attack because I chose to use him powerfully
to advance My Father's kingdom, which meant the tearing down of the
devil's kingdom. The devil opposed what I was going to do through
Peter before Peter even had an inkling of what I'd called him to do.

You too, dear one, are important to My plans and purposes and I am
able to do more through you than you can think or imagine. And that
makes you a target for the enemy--but again I say to you, don't
worry or fret or fear his attack, for I am much greater than he is,
and I have already placed My authority in your hands. Indeed, you
have My authority over the devil--he cannot destroy you, but you can
destroy his works.

That is why the devil is striking at My faithful servants with great
fury. He is upset that he is loosing ground as My kingdom advances.
He means to strike out at Me, but he cannot get to Me, so he attacks
to the ones through whom I work to advance My Father's kingdom on
this earth.

Dear one, do not be afraid, no matter what he may throw at you. I
earned all authority on heaven and on earth when I bore you sins and
then was raised from the dead.*** I am greater than the devil and I
am stronger, and I have placed this strength and authority in you in
the Person of the Holy Spirit, Who lives inside of you. Yes, I have
given you a measure of the authority that I won on Calvary, so that
you have authority over the devil and all of his forces. You are not
small and helpless--you are mighty in Me.

* Luke 10:19 "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and
scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing
    will harm you."

** 1 John 2:14 "...you are strong, and the word of God abides in
you, and you have overcome the wicked one."

*** Matthew 28:18 "And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, 'All
authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.'"
