                       I Will Heal You

Child of Mine, I desire your joy to be full in Me. One of the things
that hinders this is your unresolved wounds and hurts from the past. 
You tend to press them down and try to ignore them, to pretend they are
not there and to hope they will simply go away. But these do not go
away. Instead they cause you many problems because they affect your 
behavior when you are not expecting it. Something happens that triggers 
the old hurt from years ago, and it affects how you respond now. Your
reaction is out of proportion for the situation, and you find yourself 
wondering, "Why did I behave that way?" And you feel ashamed, and the
accuser of your soul comes along to heap condemnation and guilt upon 
you because of your response. But it was not you acting, it was your 
woundedness reacting. And you can't help yourself and you will do it 
again the next time you are in a similar situation, and the cycle of 
reaction and condemnation and guilt and shame will repeat.

Child, this is a bondage of the enemy and I want to break it off of your
life. I came to set the oppressed free, and I do not desire to see you
in oppression and bondage to the hurts of your past.

Another way the woundedness manifests is in how you think and in how
you perceive things. It will cause you to be deeply wounded in situations
where no hurt was intended. It will flavor your perceptions of how 
people treat you and of what they think about you. It will even interfere
in your relationship with Me. It will cause you to feel worthless or
rejected or dirty or hopeless or wrongfully treated. It will cause you 
needless pain, because the enemy and tormentor of your souls desires to 
stir up the old hurts to torment you. And I do not desire this for you.
It is not My will for you to struggle with old hurts and to be constantly
in pain because of them.

Little one, you must not try to hide these hurts from Me and pretend that
they do not exist. That is running to the darkness and that is not My 
way. My way is for you to come to My light, that it may be exposed and 
healed, that it might not have any more power over you to cause harm. I 
do not cover things up and conceal them -- I clear them out and remove 
them. And I want to take this hurt from you. I want to heal the old 
wounds of the past. I want to empower you to release any bitterness, 
resentment, fear, unforgiveness, shame and guilt. I want to cut away 
this cancerous growth of old hurts from off of you, that it works no 
more death in you. I want to bind up the wound with My love and acceptance, 
and I want to place My healing balm on it. I want to wash you and make you 
so clean that the accuser has no more power to torment you in this area. 

I want to set you free from the hurts of the past, and from the enemy's
torment and bondage that they bring. I want to heal you, and I am able
to do so, if you are willing to submit to Me and allow Me to touch and heal 
this area of your life. Child, trust Me and know that even when I work
in this area, it brings some pain for a short season -- just as the
cutting away surgery to remove a cancerous growth brings some pain. But
that pain is a healing pain that does not persist or last, and it makes
way for the healing and wellness to come. Do not fear My surgery, child
of Mine, for I have your good at heart and it is My desire to set you
free from the pain of the past, and to work My glory and My health and 
My radiance in you. If you allow Me to do so, I will heal you, for it
is My desire for your joy to be full -- and we must remove the old hurts
in order to accomplish that. 

Run to My light, child, and let Me heal you.
