      My Rest

Cease from your labour,
Come, enter My rest.
Enter My presence,
And you will be blessed.

I long to fellowship
With you, My son.
Trust Me completely,
'Til life's work is done.

Worship, My child,
Dance and sing praise.
Come, soar like eagles,
And your hands, raise.

It's not in your striving,
Your work of the flesh.
It's in laying down self,
Surrendering to death.

It's not in performance,
Rituals and rules.
Joyfully bless Me,
For Me, be fools.

Abide in My Spirit,
Rest in My love.
Trusting Me, always,
Seeking above.

My Spirit's moving
O'er all the earth,
Healing My body,
Giving dreams birth.

Rise up and praise Me.
Know Me, and do
What I've commanded,
For I love you.

And I am merciful.
I'm Daddy, and Friend.
Take My hand, walk with Me
'Til journey's end.
