                      The Price of Pentecost


Are you willing to pay the price, to count the cost as did My followers 
as they waited for My Spirit to be poured out from on high?  They waited 
in the upper room, where the air was thick with prayer. They didn't 
understand what they were waiting for, but in total obedience they tarried 
in Jerusalem. They waited for the Promise. They waited in expectancy, they 
knew they dared not leave without receiving the Promise. 

Surely they had been ministering in My Name, and casting out devils and 
healing the sick. Yet they tarried. They prayed together with faith 
stretching out, with hearts melded together.  They prayed as if they 
were one voice. For truly they were one voice. All their differences had 
been set aside in the light of knowing and following Me. And I did not 
disappoint those who humbled themselves and gathered in unity. With the 
sound of a mighty rushing wind I revealed Myself as baptizer with the Holy 
Ghost and fire. 

And then My Church was born!! Men and women from many nations tumbled 
headlong into My kingdom. It was noisy! It was messy! It was chaotic! But 
My power was undeniably displayed before all!!  And My Church was born!!  

Shall I not do it again? Shall I not come to hungry hearts? Shall I not 
empower you to do even greater things? Will you come to Me - laying aside 
your own agendas?  I do not adapt to your plans, you adapt to Mine.  When 
you seek My face, seek to know My will.  Then will I reveal My plans and 
you shall walk in the fullness of them. 

My Children, I come as fire to empower you for one thing -- to take My 
gospel forth in signs and wonders and healing miracles.  I empower you
to rescue the lost sinners, to heal the wounded saints, and to walk in 
the holiness of My fire. You will see My blazing glory displayed to the 
nations.
