Run the Race with Patience

Run your race with patience. Your race may seem long to you, but in the light of Eternity it is very short. It is your life-long race as a Christian on this earth. Do not be as some children, when the whole family starts on a long journey, who grow weary soon after departure and begin saying, "Are we there yet? I am tired. Let's go back home. Why didn't you tell me it would be so long?"

And then if they are not placated by the adults in charge, they begin to fight and lose focus of the wonderful rewards waiting for them at the end of the trip.

God says to His people, run this race with patience....look not at the inconveniences and trials of the moment but look forward, keeping your eyes on the Blessed Hope that is set before you, and be as Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the Cross......so that we can persevere with patience.
