What 2 Cor 10:4 Really Means

Child of Mine, the weapons of your warfare are not carnal. This means
you must not try to fight the enemy from your own resources, but from Mine.

The enemy is ever trying to lure My children into the same sin that he
fell into. He desired to be like Me through His own resources, instead of
being content to reflect My glory and reflect My character. His sin was
that he tried to be sufficient on his own instead of through Me.

It is, in fact, My desire for each of My creation to be like Myself. Just
as any human father desires that his children to be like him and hold to
his standards and his judgments of right and wrong, so I desire for My
children to be like Me. I desire for My creation to reflect My glory.
Have you not heard how the seraphim who surround My throne reflect and
radiate My glory? Have I not put My own Spirit within you to transform your
nature and conform you to the image of My Son? Child of Mine, I want you
to be like Me. There is no sin in that desire.

The sin comes when you desire to be sufficient in yourself instead of
depending on Me for it. The sin comes when you want to be independent from
My will instead of subservient to it. The sin comes from when you desire
to have your way instead of being obedient to My way. The sin comes when
you desire to receive glory unto yourself instead of giving the glory to Me
for that which I have done.

Child, don't you see how the enemy is trying to deceive you into falling
into the same error that entrapped him? He desired to be independent, to
accomplish things through his own strength, so that others in My kingdom
might look up to him and might honor him. While his goal was good, his
method for obtaining it was wrong. That is how he came to elevate "self"
above Me. And that was his sin.

Child of Mine, the weapons that I have given you for warfare are not
carnal. You must not try to fight from your own resources, but only
from Mine. You must look to Me and allow Me to direct you. Do not fall
into routines and patterns to the point where you look to that routine
instead of to Me. While it is good to rebuke demonic spirits, you must
only rebuke them when I am doing so. While it is good to break curses,
you must only do that when I am doing so. Look to Me to see what I am
doing in each warfare situation. Do not depend on the pattern or upon
the ritual to be your deliverance, for I am your deliverance.

You must look to Me, to see what I am doing and to do it with Me. I will
tell you when to rest, trusting Me and when to rise up in the authority
that I have given to you. There are times that I ask you to trust and
stand in faith. There are times that I ask you not to defend yourself, but
to allow Me to defend you. There are also times when I ask you to rise up
in the authority that I have given to you and to raise up a standard against
the enemy of your souls.

Child of Mine, how will you know which time is which unless you look to
Me for direction? You must not be carnal in your warfare. You must not
assume you know what to do in each situation. Instead you must look to
Me to see what I am doing. You must be spirit-led and obedient in your
warfare -- for only then will you prevail. The weapons that I have given
you are not carnal. They were never meant to be used apart from Me, but
under the direction of My spirit.

If you use the weapons I have given you in the way My spirit directs, you
will see great victory. For these weapons are highly effective when they
are properly connected to the power-source -- and that source is My Spirit.
Use the weapons I have given you used under My direction and do things My way,
and you will see My glory burst forth and defeat the enemy's strategies
against you. For these weapons are mighty to the pulling down of the enemy
strongholds and the casting down of every high thing that exalts itself
against the knowledge of God.
