                      My Christmas Gift To You

Child of Mine, I love you with an everlasting love. I reached out to
you at the first Christmas, so that I might draw you close to Myself.
I have not stopped reaching out to you. My intention is still to draw
you closer to Myself, that we might commune together.

Dear one, I want you to know that I love you. I know that the enemy
of your soul has done all that he can to make you feel dirty, defective,
and unworthy of My life. He is a liar and the father of lies, and the 
accusations that he whispers in your ear are born from those lies,
designed to make you think that I do not want you near. He says these
things because he hopes that you will pull away from Me and disqualify
yourself from My love.

Do not listen to him. Instead, allow the truth of Christmas to shine 
through and to dissipate every lie that he hurls your way. He will tell
you that you are unworthy of My love because of this fault or because
of that failure. Do not listen to him, for our relationship was never 
based on your worthiness. If you had been worthy, then I would not have 
needed to send My Son to atone for your sin. 

No, dear one, our relationship has NEVER been about your worthiness
or about your adequacy. It has always been about My great love for 
you, and about what My Son purchased for you on Calvary. Because of 
Him, you are cleansed and made pure; He has presented you as holy 
before Me. 

The terms of your salvation have not changed. You have not been given 
a divine wash clothe to cleanse yourself; you have not been told to 
make make yourself acceptable in My sight based on your own merit. In 
fact, if you try to do that, you will fail.  

The atonement that was shed for you on Calvary has made you complete
in Me. It has purified you. Even when you run out and dirty yourself,
the blood of My Son avails for you. It washes you afresh and makes you
clean before Me. Dear one, your acceptance is not based on your merit,
but on what My Son has done for you. Your position in Me is not based
on your works or on your efforts or on your performance; it is based 
on our relationship as we fellowship together. 

You have been made acceptable in My sight through the work of My own
dear Son. That was Our Christmas present to you back over 2000 years 
ago, when Jesus first came to this earth; and dear child, that 
unconditional acceptance is still Our present to you today. 

You are loved without measure or limit, and I am drawing you even 
closer to Myself. Come abide in Me. Draw near without fear that I will 
reject you or push you away. Come to Me, dear one, and receive My
great love for you.
