		I am the God of Today

So many of My children live in the past. Some hang on to past victories
and successes and strategies.  They cling to their old wineskins and do 
not look to see what I am doing today.  They say, "this worked in the 
past.  It is tried and true."  But I say unto you, in the past I required 
animal sacrifices for the atonement of sin.  That worked in the past, it 
was effective.  Yet, that was abolished when My Son died on the cross and 
rose from the dead.  I do not require animal sacrifices today.  In fact,
today they are a stench in My nostrils, because it is only through the 
cross and resurrection that man finds atonement for their sin.  The 
perfect sacrifice of My Son's blameless life has been laid down and no 
other sacrifices will now suffice in it's place.  This is an example of 
how I do things different today than I did in the past.  So, do not hold 
on so tightly to the strategies of the past that you miss what I am doing 
today.  Rather, focus your eyes on Me and look to see what I am doing now -- 
for that is what you must be doing with Me.  As My Son did only what I was 
doing when He walked this earth, so must you!  Look to see what I am doing 
today, and that is what you likewise must do.

Some of My children hang on to the failures of their past.  I have said
that there is therefore now no condemnation in Christ Jesus.  But they
behave as if I am a liar.  The act as if their past failures condemn and 
disqualify them.  They believe that past disappointments hinder them from 
moving forward today.  Child of mine, do not hang onto the failures of 
the past.  Rather move forward into My victories of today.  For I have 
ordained victory for My children, not disqualification and defeat.

Some of My children hang onto the lusts and sins of the past.  Others 
look to the material possessions of the past.  They do not look to Me
and trust Me to give them their daily bread.  They feel they need to hang 
on to things that are not of Me to meet their present needs or any future 
needs that might arise.  They say to themselves, "this brought me pleasure 
in the past" or "this brought me comfort it the past."  And the look to 
the thing of the past instead of to Me.  I say to you child, look to Me.
I am your provision.  I am your peace.  I am your joy.   I am your life.
Do not look to the things of the past for your provision and substance.
Look instead to Me -- fix your eyes on Me this day and know that I will
provide for your needs and I will cause your joy to be full as you put
your daily focus on Me and on doing My will.

Some of My children grasp for the future to the point where they do
not possess today.  I have prepared victories and deposits of My glory
for you for this day.  Do not pass them by because you fix your eyes
on some future goal.  Look to see what I am doing this day.  Do that
with Me, for there are victories planned for you this very day.  Look
to see where I am going and go there with Me.  For there (where I am) 
is where I will bring My glory into your present circumstances.  Yes, I 
have prepared a hope for your future and yes, My plans for you are good. 
But don't look to the future so much that you miss what I am doing today.

Child of Mine, I am the God of "Today."  I am God of the "Now."  There is
only "now" child of Mine.  The past is past.  The future has not yet
occurred.  So allow Me to meet you today.  Allow Me to reveal Myself
to you today.  Allow Me to mobilize you today.  Allow Me to empower you
today.  Allow Me to transform you today and to conform you into the image
of My Son.  Do not be so caught up in the past that you miss what I am
doing today in your life.  Do not be so concerned about the future that
you miss what I am doing today in your life.  Take your eyes off of
these things and fix them on Me.  Allow Me to show you what I am doing
this very day.  As you do this, I will invite you to do with Me what 
I am doing.  And I will empower you to do it with Me, that My kingdom
might advance and that My name might be glorified through you.

Watch, I say, what I am doing this day.  Participate with Me in it today.
For I say unto you, I am the God of today.
