What are you doing here?

I received this word as I was reading I Kings 19. I believe this is a word for His current day prophets/prophetic peoples. May the Lord speak to you through this word according to His will...

Come out of the cave and stand on the mountain. You have seen the winds, the earthquakes, and fires, but I am not in them. I am in the gentle whisper. Draw your ear to My mouth and hear Me say, What are you doing here My Child? Have I not called you to do a work? Why do you sit within the cave? Come out My Child. Those who have been in a hidden place, I say to you, Now is the time. Come out. Think not that you are alone. There are many others who have also been hidden away for a time such as these. I send My Spirit and hordes of angelic hosts to go with you. Be not afraid. I go with you always even unto the ends of the earth.

In these very recent days we have been seeing hurricanes, earthquakes and fires. Many have stood with breath held wondering if these are indeed the beginning of the Trumpets spoken of in Revelation. It is easy to focus on the devastation of these events and in doing so miss the whisper of the Lord say, "What are you doing here?" I believe these are the times when the Lord wants us ready to be used at the sound of that soft whisper saying, "Move out My good and faithful servant." You may ask why He whispers? He whispers because it causes you to be quiet and to draw close to His mouth. For this is the place where He longs for us to dwell. Each person has their own call. I encourage you to just stop right now and listen for to what the whisper of the Lord is saying to you.
