What Was Destroyed
I have seen what has been damaged. I have seen what the canker worm and
the locust have damaged. I have seen that you have found yourself in a
place of desolation and pain, and what lay at your feet was in ruins.
You have built on a firm foundation. This has not been shaken, this
cannot be shaken, this cannot be destroyed. Everything may collapse
around you, everyone may desert you, but you stand on a firm foundation
and I have promised, yes, I have promised, to lift you up, to give you
strength so that you may soar on the wings of eagles and nothing will
harm you. Nothing will harm you. When all seems lost around you,
remember Me, for I am with you, even unto the ends of the Earth. What
can harm you? Did I not promise I am always with you?
I have watched as you clothed yourself in guilt and shod yourself with
heavy boots so your walk was slow and hard. I have watched as you hung
your head and I have seen into the depths of your beating heart. I have
not turned away. Though the air seems still and hot around you, I, yes
I, will never turn away. I will take what the enemy has meant for bad,
and I will turn it into good, for I am capable and I will turn the season
of mourning into a season of joy, a season of ripeness, a season of plenty.
Your cup shall overflow with good things, your days shall be filled with
laughter, for I am returning all that the enemy has stolen. I have not
forgotten you. From the rising of the sun through the creeping of the
night, I have watched and I have loved you, always. Precious are you in
My sight.
Your foundation is firm, and this is where you chose to stand. Nothing
shall shake this ground. What is lost will be returned and what you
think is destroyed is about to blossom. Are the trees not bare and still
through the winter months, yet as the sun returns to warm the branches,
are the buds not more beautiful than you remembered? If I do not forget
this, to clothe the trees in magnificent splendor, in abundance, shall I
forget you? Never have I turned away.
Be still. Be still. Your heart is before Me. My promises are Yes and
Amen.
