Guidelines

Here are some guidelines that will make your participation more successful and enjoyable:

  1. Be prayerful as you read the introduction for this week's prayer target. Ask God to speak to you and show you His heart on this matter and how He would like you to pray about it.

  2. If God stronly reminds you of one of your own experiences (or that of a close friend) or gives you insight on the subject that you would like to share, feel free to post that experience/insight to the list.

  3. As God lays a prayer on your heart, post the prayer to the list. You may not get a prayer immediately (e.g, the first post on the topic), so don't force a prayer if you don't have one. But perhaps when you read someone's follow on prayer (or post), God will quicken something to you and then you can post your prayer.

  4. Please feel free to post as many prayers during the week as you desire to.. you are not limited to one prayer on the topic.

  5. Do keep your prayers on topic for the given week's subject of prayer.
E.g, if the week's prayer target for this week is for unwed mothers, please do not introduce a new topic of world peace..

  6. In general, please try to keep your prayers short and have just one or two main thoughts in them. It is easier for people to build on your prayers if they are focused. (If God stronly impressed six different areas to pray regarding the topic, you might want to consider doing multiple posts to cover each area rather than a single lenghty prayer that covers all six areas.)

  7. As always, the "scriptural" and "safe place" rules apply.. please do not post anything that is unscriptural (as either a prayer or a discussion). And never attack/criticize anyone or put anyone down or do gossip disguised as a prayer. [Of course, we don't think anyone here would do that, but we have to mention it just to "cover all bases".]

  8. Remember to ask God to speak to you and to reveal His will and His heart to you as you consider the week's prayer target.. ask Him to show you how He would like you to pray on this topic. The more you make this a "real project" with God, the more you will benefit (learn) from this and the more effective your prayers will be.

  9. Please stick to the given week's prayer target.. e.g, if we focused on unsaved relatives last week and then we moved on to unwed mothers this week, please do NOT post prayers/discussions for unsaved relatives after the new target (unwed mothers) has been introduced.

  10. If you see answers to prayers on topics we've prayed in previous weeks, regardless of what the current week's topic is. Example: let's say we pray for unsaved relatives in week 1 and then in week 4, your unsaved mother commits her life to the Lord.. please do share that, even though we are no longer praying on that topic. I believe we will start seeing answers to our prayers as we come together corporately to agree in prayer.. so please do be sure to post to the list when you see an answer to one of the topics we've been praying togeher on.

These next 15 weeks should be powerful and exciting. We encourage you to press in to God and to stretch in your prayer. Let's see what powerful things God does in our midst as we seek His face and pray together.
