I want to again review the three intercessory operational levels that I outlined for the previous prayer targets I have led. Each participant should be asking the Lord for His wisdom and guidance for them individually relative to the approach they should be taking as they intercede.
Our focus for each of these prayer targets is 'praying' strategically. This is the basic level that we are operating from. Praying strategically is foundational to what we call prophetic intercession. Prophetic intercession is interactive it involves 'hearing' from the Lord and then responding accordingly. A central principle to praying strategically is what I call the Issachar context 'understanding the times and knowing what to do.'
Typically, strategic intercession deals with regional, national and global issues issues that undergird first what the Lord is doing and planning in a particular context; and once that is understood, only then moving into what the enemy is attempting to do in response to the Lord's initiatives.
The next level, as we pray strategically, involves increases in the authority the intercessor operates in. As the authority increases, so does the ability to speak into the situation with authority making proclamations and declarations based on God's Word and His leading. Intercessors who have been called to operate regularly in this arena, understand the importance of regular repentence in their lives. Let me again reemphasize, that as we pursue each of the topics in this practicum, we will be proceeding corporately and operating in the sphere of influence and authority of the person leading the particular topic.
Again, the next level will be only for those who the Lord will speak specifically to in terms of their readiness for involvement at this level. It is a level only for those who are seasoned and experienced -- those called into this particular intercessory level. It will involve going into the enemy's camp.
There are many scriptural examples of going into the enemy's camp and the result ranges from determining the counsel and plans of the enemy so that they might be used against the enemy; to actually conducting a raid. During this practicum, those proceeding into the enemy's camp will go no further than for the purpose of the determining the enemy's plans.
With that as background, this prayer target will be addressing Israel, the peace of Jerusalem and Jewish revival.
Prophetically, events in Israel reflect one of the most significant pivot points impacting the Body and the course of world events around the globe. Our prayers for the peace of Jerusalem have never been more critical. Those aligned against Israel are increasing.
All out war in Israel has only been averted by the prayers of intercessors. Simultaneously, Jewish revival is also eminent. Tensions in Israel are off the charts. There continue to be ongoing reports on terrorist attacks being averted because of seasoned intercessors who have in the Spirit moved into the camp of the enemy and thwarted their plans. Israel is indeed a country sitting on the edge of war. For those in Israel, this is very, very real gas masks are always at hand knowing where your kids are takes on a different meaning it is something constantly at their doorstep.
Yet, times of intense pressure can create great openness to the Lord. And there is already the beginning of a great openness to Yeshua, Jeus, the Jewish Messiah. But many barriers remain. Barriers involving alliances bent on destroying Israel. Barriers designed to keep the Israelis themselves as a divided people. Barriers that create smokescreens that cloud the real issues and the intentions the Lord has for His covenant people, the Jews.
Praying for Israel will involve the Lord apprehending the hearts and minds of Israeli leaders. It will involve unity among the leaders. Praying for Israel will involve breaking down the dividing wall of hostility between Jew and Gentile, as well as the Lord bringing about unity and oneness among the various Messianic Jewish groups. Praying for Israel will also involve also the security of Israel that in the coming days, the nation would be sovereignly protected by God, whether against terrorist acts or all out war. Praying for Israel and Jewish revival will involve an awakening with the Body to stand in the gap for the Jewish people; and for the veil impeding the Jew's recognition of Jesus -- Yeshua Messiah to be removed.
Once again, let's begin praying with everyone praying the following prayer.
Father, we come to you in the mighty Name of Jesus. Lord we affirm, that it is not by might, nor by power, but by your Spirit that we serve as your warriors. Lord, we repent of anything within our lives that may not be of You. We ask you Lord, to cleanse us with the blood of Jesus. Lord, we thank you that we hear Your voice clearly. Lord we thank you that we are obedient servants. We go when You say to go and we stop when You say to stop. Lord we neither turn to the right or left without the leading of Your Holy Spirit. But Lord, we will proceed at Your direction and be bold as lions, because Lord we are cleansed by the blood of the Lamb -- we have on the full armor of God -- and Lord we utilize an arsenal of weapons that are mighty in power, weapons that pull down strongholds -- and Lord we thank You that no weapon formed against us will prosper.Lord, we thank You for opening our spiritual eyes that we might operate with a clear understanding of the times we are entering with a knowing of what You are doing.
Lord God, we pray for the peace of Jerusalem. We pray for your covenant people the Jews. Lord, within all the diversity in Israel -- there is no question that division, the hostility, mistrust and fear that run rampant. And Lord, within this context we want to begin by praying for the leadership emerging in Israel at all levels.
We're praying for leaders in Israel who have the heart of King David; not only in the elected offices -- but at every level -- eaders whose hearts, stances and advisory staffs reflect hearts that are open and passionate for the Lord. Lord, may it be that the leaders with hearts after King David rise to the forefront -- not only in the elected offices from the national to local level, but among those representing the informal leadership structure.
Lord, there are those You are giving a voice; those who shape the opinions of the people across the land. Lord we pray for those in the media that You are causing to come to the forefront -- men and women with a heart after King David. Lord, Israel is a people who has a coveant with You. We bind this lie of the enemy that says that for Israel to have peace they need a covenant with man. Lord, men and women, with the heart of King David. Lord, we pray that You would raise up those with a heart of King David who will be the voice of their communities and neighborhoods -- a local Rabbi, a vocal business leader, the heads of humanitarian groups.
Leaders of Your choosing Lord, with a voice, who influence both those in authority and the people. And from this, that a strong voice would rise above the fray. A voice that is heard at the heart level of the people and around the world.
And Lord, in the Name of Jesus, we take authority over and bind those voices that add chaos and confusion to the situation; Lord, shut the mouths of the lions speaking against that represented by Your plans and purposes in this situaiton; and we loose the power of God to be operating in the voices of those You are raising up.
Lord, we're thanking You for a central voice in Israel -- a central voice that would be genuinely heard at all levels, above the fray -- a central voice reflecting the Lord's perspective, way and direction. A central voice, that will be heard at the heart level of the people. A voice that will serve to begin bringing a level of unity among the Israelis -- but the type of unity that flows with God's purposes for this land and His people.
Amen
