A Prophetic Word Regarding A Coming Wave of Miracles

Several years ago I was given a prophetic word regarding the coming wave of miracles and healing. This prophecy was given to a specific region. However, it is an example of the prophetic style of healing ministry.

"I am about to release the miraculous in greater measure. The first thing you will see is authority over bones, joints, muscles, sinews, nerves, and connective tissues. This will result in the healing of arthritis, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, and aches, pains, T.M.J, muscular disorders, necks, backs, shoulders, and limbs. This will signify the calling together of the dry bones of my church. Ezekiel 37.

"The next wave of the miraculous will bring about the healing of lungs and hearts. You will see healing of respiratory disorders; asthma, heart conditions, and blood disorders, stress induced sickness, anxiety disorders, and fears. Hearts and lungs will be healed. This will symbolize that I changing a heart of stone into a heart of flesh. I am prophesying to the breath to bring life to the church. Ezekiel 36 & 37.

"Then you will experience a simultaneous wave of healing in eyes and ears. Healing of: vision, corneas, diabetes, glaucoma, astigmatism, blindness will all be healed. At the same time, ears will open up. Deafness, dumbness, hearing loss and inner ear problems of every kind will be removed. This will show that I am giving them eyes to see and ears to hear. They will see me and follow my voice. Ezekiel 12

"Next there will be a great wave of healing of limbs and growths. Limbs will grow and growths and tumors will disappear. This signifies that the body is being built up and maturing into full measure. Ephesians 4

"Then I will give authority over life and death. Barrenness will end. The dead will be raised -- my church will be alive and well. Through the miraculous, I will restore and resurrect my body."

I share this with you so that you may see the correlation between the prophetic and healing. Each category of healing was a demonstration of what God was doing or preparing to do in His church.

The Prophetic Message Associated With Specific Healings

This is not to say that God is limited or that we are limited in healing. But in the prophetic style of healing, healing is used to demonstrate a specific truth or accomplish a specific goal.

God has at different times; given me messages about barrenness, vision, hearing, heart conditions, breathing and other spiritual and physical conditions. Each time He has had me deliver those messages, He has responded by healing those specific conditions. Barren wombs are opened. Vision is healed. Hearing is restored. Hearts are rejuvenated and lungs are cleared. I can expect, when I am instructed to preach those messages that something is happening in the life of the church and in the bodies of those present.

Jesus declared in Luke 4:18 that He was sent to preach and proclaim, among other things, the recovery of sight to the blind. This is not just spiritual blindness, but also physical blindness. When we are instructed to preach about a spiritual condition, we are also empowered to heal a corresponding physical condition. This is prophetic healing.

Here are a few examples of spiritual conditions and the corresponding physical condition that I have seen God demonstrate. This list is, by no means, comprehensive. The sign of barren wombs being opened may accompany all of the follow: intimacy with God, evangelism, or prophetic impartation. Dealing with a rebellious spirit, impartation of greater spiritual vision, and impartation of greater revelation may be accompanied by healing of eyes. Dealing with a spirit of unbelief, impartation of faith, and impartation of revelatory gifts may be accompanied by hearing being healed.

This does not limit God's healing power. Nor does it indicate that those used in prophetic healing are limited in their faith or ability to be used in healing gifts. It is just an indication that God is putting His finger on a specific condition at a specific moment.

I have found that when I obey God and choose to limit myself to concentrate on healing of a specific condition. The atmosphere of the miraculous increases and many more miracles and healing take place.

Before taking a closer look at prophetic healing in the scriptures I will give one more example. I have a friend who is used prophetically in his local church. He does not operate in the office of a prophet, but his prophetic gifts are recognized in the local church. He was shown that six women would have a child within the span of a year. Several of those women were barren. After receiving clearance from his pastor he shared the word with the women and the church. This sign came true and the church experienced a great period of re-production, physically and spiritually. Within a year the church grew, not just by those six babies being born. But many spiritual babies were born into the Kingdom. That is what I call church growth! If you want your church to grow start praying for physical wombs to open, and I guarantee you that spiritual reproduction will take place as well. I have seen it happen more than once. That is prophetic church growth.

Prophetic Healing in the Bible

Prophetic healing is physical and spiritual!

Anger, Bitterness and Impatience all produce words that are like poison to the church and the physical body (Psalm 140, Romans 3, James 3). It was just this kind of poison that Moses confronted in Numbers 21:4-6. "But the people grew impatient on the way; they spoke against God and against Moses, and said, 'Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the desert? There is no bread! There is no water! And we detest this miserable food!' Then the LORD sent venomous snakes among them; they bit the people and many Israelites died." (NIV)

The poison that came from their mouths resulted in a poison unleashed on their bodies. Today many people are in a poor physical state, but this is only a result of a spiritual condition. The words they speak, the attitudes of their heart, the habits they perform are all contributing factors to their sickness. A physical healing would only be a temporary cure, they need a spiritual healing as well. In this story, a physical condition came upon the people that was a direct result of a spiritual condition. The cure called for not only physical healing but also spiritual healing. This is the ministry of prophetic healing. Moses dealt with the physical condition, by erecting a bronze snake. When the people looked on the snake, they were healed.

Everything about this encounter is prophetic: The disease, the cure, the material of the snake, and the act required for their healing. Ultimately this encounter is a foreshadowing of Christ being lifted up on the cross for our healing both physically and spiritually.
