I wanted to include the text of the verses in this lesson, but it made
this teaching far too long -- over 8 pages. So I had to remove the
text of the verses to shorten this lesson to an acceptable length. So
I ended up listing some of the things the New Testament tells us about
the Holy Spirit and supplying a reference verse. I encourage you to study
this lesson by looking up the verses on your own -- I used the New King
James Version (NKJV) when I researched this lesson. This list in this
lesson is not comprehensive, but it will give you a feel for Who the Holy
Spirit is. If you search Scripture, you could find out more things about
the Holy Spirit than are listed in this lesson.

While this is not an exhaustive list of the Holy Spirit's activity in
our lives, it does give you a feel for Who He is. As you can see, He
works closely with Jesus and He is involved in just about every area of
our relationship with God.
His goal is to make us mature in Christ, to change our character and
nature to be more like Jesus, to draw us into deeper intimacy with God
and to empower us to live successful and victorious Christian lives. He
is also the one who makes us an effective witness for Jesus and He is
deeply involved in healing the sick.
If you want to see more of His anointing and power demonstrated in your
life and ministry, then you need to enter into a personal relationship
with Him. You need to learn how to work and cooperate with Him so that
He will be pleased to anoint you and work through you to accomplish God's
purposes. We will talk more about how to develop a quality personal
relationship with Him in subsequent lessons.
