Sometimes, the enemy will sneak in on something neat the Lord has done and try to immitate God's voice to condemn us. The enemy will push us by placing unrealistic expections on us of what the "ideal christian" is and then condemn us for not living up to these unreasonable expectations. The enemy sorta tried to do that with me on the way home from work... but God kindly stepped in with His reality and blasted the enemy's attempt. I'd like to share that with you...

This morning I had that incredible experience of doing what the Father was doing in ministering to that homeless couple. After that, I wen to work. I got caught up in work and suddenly I did not have time to commute home (an hour commute) in time before I had to be online to co-lead a prophetic-school chatroom. So I decided to stay at work and do it from there. It started at 6:30 PM (PST) and it was 9:30 PM before I could leave work... very late for the financial district, because most people start work at 5:30 or 6:00 AM.

At this time of night, there are a lot of homeless people out wandering the streets there. Seeing them made me think of the couple the Lord had led me to take to McDonalds for breakfast. It was starting to rain again an would be a miserable night to be caught outside in. As I walked to the BART station, I began to think that maybe I could invite them to spend the night with me, in my guest room rather than outside in the rain again. I prayed for the Lord to bring them my way so that I could invite them.. hubby is out of town, so I had the house to myself and knew I could do this. But I did not see them. I prayed so earnestly for God to bring them along my path and I kept watching for them.

I began to feel bad that I had not thought to invite them overnight when we were having breakfast... I started to get down on myself and was even about to repent to the Lord for that. But then God spoke to me. He said, "Teresa, I am NOT going to bring them your way this evening despite your prayers, because that is not My will for you to have then in your house. If I had wanted you to do that, I would have told you while you were all together at breakfast. Do not allow the enemy to come into this with condemnation.. for he will always turn a thing of delight into a thing of condemnation if given the chance.. just as he is trying to do with you now by telling you that you should have invited them to spend the night with you. Rather, look to Me and what I am doing. Do not try to do more than I am doing, for that is just as much of a mistake than if you do less that whan I am doing. Just do with Me what I am doing, no more and no less."
