Beautiful Battlefield

For the last 2 weeks I have been getting the words "Beautiful Battlefield" regarding us (I speak globally as to the body of Christ). Having been in the Navy for 6 years, I would hardly put the words together myself.

We are in a battle against the powers and principalities which, at least for me, seems to have intensified greatly. The battlefield I can see. I have found the spiritual battle manifesting itself in flesh and blood conflicts.

Why beautiful? The battle is to set captives free and we have a commanding officer whose victory is sure. We have are part of a glorious unfolding of His plan. In the muck and mire of a battlefield it is easy to lose track of why you are there. We fortunately have a general who shares much of His plans and dreams with us, if we inquire.

If you know who you are, who He is, what you are fighting for, and who fights along side you it is truly a beautiful battlefield.
