                           Come to Know Me

Last week I talked to you about My great love for you and the role
that plays in your life. That was laying a foundation for what I want
to talk to you about this week: trust. You must learn to trust Me,
so that I can carry you through some the things that lay ahead for 
you.

Yes, it is important for My children to learn to truly trust Me. But 
you cannot trust Me if you do now know Me, for it is impossible to 
put your trust in Someone that you do not know. You must come to know 
who I am (and what I am like) before you can trust Me at the level that 
I require of you. So dear one, this is a time and a season where you 
need to really begin to draw close to Me, to seek Me out and to allow 
Me to reveal Myself to you, so that you might come to truly know Me.

I want to reveal Myself to you in many ways, so that you can know Me 
better. One of the ways that I will do this is through My written word, 
the Bible. Yes, I have chosen to reveal Myself to through My word; it 
describes Who I am, what I am like, and what I require of you. You need
My word, little one, because it lays the foundation on which our 
relationship is built. If you are not reading it on a regular basis, 
then you need to start doing so. 

Yes, I want to reveal Myself to you through My word, but I also want to 
build upon that foundation with a personal relationship and I want to 
give you direct interactions with Myself. That is correct: I also want 
to reveal Myself to you personally and directly, and I want you to
experience My presence and My goodness in every aspect of your life.

I want us to have a personal relationship together, and I want our 
relationship to be alive and vibrant want you experience My goodness 
and My love and My faithfulness for yourself. I want you to have a 
certainty down deep in your innermost being that I am (that I truly 
exist and am very real), and that I am faithful and good. I want you 
to feel safe coming to Me, so that you are able to put your trust in Me.

Dear one, if you come to Me on My terms, then I will indeed reveal 
Myself to you. I will teach you My ways and I will give you personal 
experience upon personal experience with Me. I will begin to show you 
things that your sense have been too dull to perceive, and I will 
open your senses to My presence. I will teach you to recognize My 
voice clearly and accurately, so that I may speak to you, to reveal 
even more of Myself to you.

So what are My terms, and what do I ask of you? It is simple, dear one.
Pursue Me with all of your heart and make a commitment to truly give Me
Lordship in every area of your life (e.g., choose to obey Me because you
love Me.) Do that, dear one, and when you seek Me, you shall find Me,
and I will teach you Who I am. Yes, I will reveal Myself to you in
greater measure and I will saturate your senses with My nearness. Come
to know Me, so that you can learn to put your trust in Me.
