                         Tugboats & the Pull

While I was sitting down by the water this morning the Lord spoke to me
through a tug boat. As I watched this tugboat pulling the barge full of
wood I began to think about the things that pull us in life or seem to
pull us. How often we feel everything that pulls us is bad and evil. We
feel that when we don't feel like we are in control of something or an
area in our lives. But I heard the Lord saying to me that not everything
that feels like a pull on your life is evil or wrong or bad. The Lord
often uses things/vessels/situations to pull us along in life to our
destiny. I kept hearing the Lord say:

"Know that I am able to control and am in control of all things, including
that which is pulling you to a place even if you don't know exactly where
you are going. But trust Me that I do have a plan and a destiny for you and
that I will choose the vessels that will pull you to where you are to be
now or next. You will feel uncomfortable at times if you look at the chain
that holds you to what is pulling you or directing your path. But know
that I am able to hold things together until the destination is reached.
I will even send people/things in your path that you will be knitted to and
bonded to -- to help pull you through and keep you on course. Don't always
fight the pull. Instead find out if it is I that am allowing the pulling
and then rest in Me.

However, do not put your trust in the person or situation that is pulling
you because the situations can change and the vehicles will change but
trust only in the One Who is in charge of all things and can do all
things. Allow Me to pull you into the destiny and to the places I would
have you be. Don't fight against it but rest in Me and come along for the
ride."
