                            Discover

Draw close, little one. Come to Me and spend time with Me, so that you
may begin to discover what I am truly like. I want to reveal so much
more of Myself to you, but I need you to draw closer to Me before I can
do that.

Little one, if you want to draw closer to Me, then you must put aside 
some of the things that I find offensive or that make Me uncomfortable.
I am a Holy God, and you must approach Me in holiness and purity. I
am not asking you to somehow make yourself perfect before you begin to
approach Me. That is not even possible. 

What I am saying is that in order to draw closer to Me, you must allow 
Me to change and transform you, so that you become more like Me. I will 
convict you of things (behaviors and attitudes) that I don't like, and 
I expect you to cooperate with Me in that process. You cannot change on 
your own. It is My Holy Spirit, Who lives inside of you, Who will change 
you--but you must cooperate with Him in the process.

Dear child, I am Holy and I am Light. The closer you draw to My throne,
the more brightly My light will shine on you. That means that the closer
you come, the more the more dark things in your life are exposed. It 
means that the closer you draw to Me, the more I hold you accountable to
obey and to walk before Me in purity and holiness. It means you have to 
let go of some things that were permissible when you stood a bit further
away. Yes, My Spirit will begin to convict you on things that you used to 
be able to get away with. I will begin to hold you to a higher standard 
of obedience and purity. 

The closer you draw to Me, the more you must allow Me to change 
and transform you from the inside out, so that you reflect more of My 
image. There will be times when this will be hard for you. There will 
be times when I ask you to let go of things of the flesh that you hold 
dear. These things may seem precious to you, but in reality, they are 
hurting you and causing you to be more distant from Me. And I will ask 
you to give them into My hand. 

The closer you grow to Me, the more I will expect you to obey Me 
unquestioningly and with a good attitude. There will be times when I
say No to you. There will be times when I ask you to lay aside your 
own agenda and take up Mine. The closer to you draw to Me, the more
you will have to give Me lordship in your life. 

Yes, you will have to give up some of your darkness as you draw closer
to Me, for I am light and darkness cannot stand before Me. But what 
you give up is nothing compared to what you get back...for you get Me!
Yes, you will get a deeper revelation of Myself and a greater ability
to perceive My nearness. You will see a greater measure of My power 
and My anointing in your life, and I will cause you to walk in a
greater measure of victory.

Now that you know what drawing closer to Me entails, do you want to do
so? It is My sincere hope that you will, for I desire for us to be
even closer than we already are. I want you to seek Me, dear one, and 
if you do, you will surely find Me. I want you to draw close to Me, so 
that I may reveal more of Myself to you.  Draw closer, little one, come 
and discover more of what I am truly like.
