                         Faith Comes

Faith comes by hearing My word. Have you ever wondered why that is? 

It is because My word shows you My power and it shows what I am capable 
of doing. What problem can you face that is greater than problems I have
already dealt with and documented in My word?  I have healed the sick 
and raised the dead. I have multiplied food when there was a shortage.
I have supernaturally produced water in the desert.  I have provided 
financially for the destitute.  I have delivered My own from the
oppression of others who wanted to abuse them. I have protected My own 
and delivered them from overwhelming odds.  I have given My people 
military victory when their adversaries were more powerful, having 
superior weapons and larger armies.  I have given wisdom and discernment 
when the enemy came in with trickery and deceit.  I have stilled the 
forces of nature, parted the Red Sea and calmed the raging storm. You 
have seen and read what I have done, for it is recorded in My word.  

What problem can you possibly face that is greater than My ability to 
cope with it?

My word also shows My character.  You can see from My word that I am 
faithful to My people when they put their trust in Me.  I do not forsake
them, I do not abandon them when they are in trouble. Instead I deliver 
them.  I am not far away from My people and My ears are always open to 
their cries.  I do not disqualify My own even when they fail, as David 
failed with Bathsheba; for I look on the heart and not just on outward 
actions. I forgive the repentant sinner, I cleanse the dirty, I strengthen 
the weak and I comfort the hurting. I do not turn away those who come to
Me and I am active on behalf of those who place their trust in Me. I 
take care of My own.

If you look at Who I am and at the track record that I have recorded in
My word, you will know that I am faithful.  And that will cause your faith
to grow. The more you know Me, the easier it will be for you to grow in 
faith.  Learn of Me from My word, see the good things I have done, over 
and over again, for My own. See how I have demonstrated My power over and 
over again, and how nothing is too hard or too difficult for Me.  That 
will cause your faith to grow and it will help you to get to know Me
better.

Faith also comes by testimonies of what I have done in other
people's lives.  Then you will know with assurance that I am the same 
today as I was in the times that the Bible was written.  I am still all
powerful and I am still willing to help My own.  I am still faithful and 
dependable and One Who you can place your trust in.

And faith comes by experiencing My faithfulness in your own life. As you
are in trouble, I will deliver you. When you have problems, I will come
through for you.  But in order to experience My faithfulness in your own
life, you must first place your trust in Me.  And before you can place
your trust in Me, you must hear about My faithfulness in the lives of
others, through testimony and through My written word.  

Yes, faith comes by hearing. So begin to listen to the things that will 
build your faith. Fill yourself with these things, let your mind dwell on 
them.  Then you will begin to understand Who I really am and all that I 
am capable of doing and you will come to know My heart for My own.  As 
you get to really know Me, you will find it easy to place your trust 
in Me and then your faith will grow.
