Power Given
We Do Not Realize The True Power We Have Been Given From The Father.
This is the very reason the Lord spoke to Moses at the Red Sea. He asked
Moses why he was crying out to Him. You must know that when you move
forward in the direction I have for you to go that I will go before you
and open the sea. That was the point that God was trying to make to Moses.
Do you really trust Me to go before you in all situations of life?
This is what the Lord is saying to us right now. To all of the true
followers of Christ. Do you truly trust Me, despite what you see and hear?
Who's report are you listening to?
We say we believe and trust, but do we? We do not use the power given to us
by the Father in the name of His Son. Jesus told us that we would do even
greater things than He. Why? Because of ourselves? No! Because He has given
us that authority through His Son. Yet we focus on this and that preacher,
prophet, evangelist, healer, etc., etc., etc.
This is what Jesus even warned about and why He always gave the honor and
glory to the Father. Jesus told us that He did nothing, nothing with out
the Father's permission. Jesus never spoke, or healed anyone with out the
authority of the Father first. He walked in complete obedience to the
Father's will and not His own. Jesus said He does nothing, except what the
Father gives Him the power and authority to do. Jesus knew what the Father's
will was because He was intimate with Him. He never had to question or guess
what the Father desired. He told us that we would do the same, and even
greater than these, when He was to go away.
We do not truly believe we have that same authority. Why? Because we say,
that was Jesus and I am not Him. No one has that kind of authority but
Jesus. That is a lie straight from hell. This is why the church is in the
mess it is in right now. We confine our selves to these human bodies and
think with our minds and not allow the spirit to lead on a daily basis. We
are not intimate with the Father as we should be. If we were we would be
walking in that God-given authority, that He gave to Jesus. Jesus was here
in the same human flesh that we have, yet He truly believed the Father and
He was intimate with Him daily. Yes He could have doubted and given in to
sin, yet He chose not to, and He spent time to know the Father's heart and
will.
The authority to calm the storm did not come directly from Jesus, but from
the Father through Jesus. He healed not of His own power, but from the
authority from the Father through Him. He yielded Himself to the Father
daily, and died to His flesh daily. This just as we have to do on a daily
basis. Yet we get too caught up in our daily lives. We must take the time to
sit and be still and not move until we hear from the Father's Heart. Then
we will grow closer to Him and know His will and desire for our lives on
a day to day basis.
We must seek to know His will from day to day. As Jesus said "do not worry
about tomorrow, for today has enough troubles of its own. This is a daily
walk with the Father, a daily walk, a daily faith, a daily trust, a daily
dying to the flesh, and a daily intimacy with the Father.
We have the same authority as Jesus has or He would not have told us so.
We must know that it is not our authority, but the Father's through us.
Therefore if He has given it to us then we must begin to truly use it and
allow Him to work through us for His Kingdom.
