                Open Your Heart

He came to my heart and stood at the door,
And asked, "Don't you want me anymore?
When you were young and so full of life,
You called me whenever there was strife.

"Now that you're older and half way home,
You feel abandoned, like I've left you alone.
But you are not used up! You are not done,
For the gift I've given you is a special one.

"You're just starting to run, getting your stride,
Where I can give you truths from deep inside.
You are not used up; you are not finished yet!
Don't think I don't see you. I do not forget.

"Be open to my Spirit and allow Him to speak,
To bring strength to those areas that are weak.
Be willing to do your part, be loving and kind,
Allow your heart to be open to me all the time."
