Our Destiny Is In His Hands

I am sharing a bit of background before releasing today's word, because I
think the story is sort of neat. As you probably already know, we select
prophetic words for this list in batches. When people submit a prophetic
word to us, we don't look at it right way....we save it in a folder. When
the next review period comes around, we prayerfully review the words we
have been saving in that folder. The Lord will say one of three things
about each word: use, reject or save for later. If He tells us to save a
word for later, then we put that word in a "save" folder until God tells
us to use it. Most of those saved words get used within a year (or less).
But occasionally words get held for longer.

We just did the selection process for this next batch of words, and God
did something unusual. First, He choose a word that we'd been saving
since March of 2007--which was 3 years ago. Then (as if to emphasize the
point), He chose another word that He'd asked us to save from that same
time period. I was amazed that He would hold on to words for so long and
then release them in "His perfect timing." Then God told me that this was
not a coincidence, but a specific plan...He said that He had an even
bigger surprise me, and then He selected a word that had been submitted
in March of 2005 -- five years ago. He had us hang on to that word for
FIVE years, and then He released it.

I told God that I was a amazed at that. He said that He held these three
for a long time on purpose, because He wanted to underscore a point about
His prefect timing. He has a destiny and a timing for each of us, just
like He had a destiny for these three prophetic words. We live a life-
style where we are used to having things instantly--and if things don't
happen quickly, most of us give up.

But God wants us to know that He fulfills His destiny in our life in
His appointed time. He reminded me of Abraham, and of how long God made
him wait for Isaac to be born. He was destined to be the Father Of
Nations, but he did not have any sons for a very long tine. God waited
until there was no way Abraham could do this (father a child with Sarah)
in his own strength. Then God's power came upon Abraham and he was able
to live out the fullness of his God-appointed destiny.

Then He gave Me this word:

Many of My own do not know how to wait in faith, and they
have given up on the destiny that I have prepared for them.
But I am the God of all power and your destiny is secure in
My hands. I will surely fulfill it in My perfect timing.

So raise up those heads that are hung down, take off the
garment of defeat and put on robes of eager expectation. Know
that I will surely accomplish in your life all that I have
promised you, and that I will do great things through you.

Child of Mine, look to Me with expectancy, For I have a great
destiny for you. I will empower you to walk it out in My
perfect timing. Do not give up, for I will surely bring it
	to pass.
