                       I Did It For You
                     (A Good Friday Word)

Next time you find yourself suffering or in discomfort; remind
yourself of how I suffered for you, so that you wouldn't have to
suffer eternally. I became the substitution for your sin and I
took your death sentence upon Myself, so that you might live.

Next time you are in pain or afflicted by sickness and disease;
realize that I bore your pain and your infirmity on the cross. I
took it upon Myself so that you could be free from it; I have
purchased your physical healing as well as your salvation. Yes,
dear one, by My stripes you are healed. That means that I had to
suffer a lashing so severe that one more stroke would have been
enough to kill many men. My body was torn and destroyed so that
yours might be healed. And I want you to possess the healing that
I have earned for you.

Next time you feel alone, abandoned or rejected; remember that I
became "sin" for you, facing the Father's rejection until the debt
was fully paid. That's right--He turned His face away from Me as I
hung on the cross, and I had to bare it alone, without His strength
or comfort to sustain Me. But because of what I did, you are now
accepted in the beloved. You are adopted into My family, and you have
been given full access to your Heavenly Father. It was purchased for
you at a very great price, so be sure to take advantage of it by
living in His presence daily and fellowshipping with Him.

Did you think it was easy for Me to do what I did on Calvary? No,
dear one, it was not! In fact, the intensity and difficulty of
what Calvary required from Me was so overwhelming that I almost
could not bare it. As I approached My day of destiny, I found Myself
praying and asking our Heavenly Father to let this cup pass from
Me without having to drink of it.

Yes, I wanted to avoid the great pain and suffering. But even more
important to Me--I did not want to be separated from My Father for
one moment, that alone for hours. I did not want to become filthy
and vile in His eyes as I carried the weight of sins that I never
personally committed. I have been in fellowship and communion with
Him since before time began; and being separated from Him for even
an instant is more horrible for Me than you can imagine.

So, you ask, why did I agree to do this? I did it for you, dear
one, because I love you more than you can imagine. The thought of
you being forever separated from Me because of your sin was even
worse to Me than being separated from My Father in order to carry
your sin.

You are precious to Me and of great value. Nothing gives Me as much
pleasure as when you come to Me in faith, laying down your will
and agenda to take up Mine. I love to commune with you, to receive
your worship, and to reveal more of Myself to you. I love to
saturate you in My love, to show you greater measures of My glory,
and to pour My anointing upon you. I love when the two of us are in
personal relationship and friendship with each other; for I want us
to be One. I love it when you trust Me, put your faith in Me and
allow Me to give you eternal life. I look forward to spending all
of eternity together--and that would not be possible if I had
bypassed any of what Calvary required.

So, you ask Me why I agreed to become sin for you? Why did I pay
the awful price for your iniquity? I did it for you. Yes, I gave
Myself for you, and in return, I hope that you will give yourself
to Me.

I did it for you, dear one, I did it for you.
