A time of walking in God's authority

I feel this word churning in my spirit for the past week and a half -

I felt the Lord was impressing on me that this is a time of walking in the authority that Jesus gave us as his sons and daughters. He directed me to Genesis 1 where Adam and Eve had complete dominion (under God of course) over the earth. Ultimately we lost it through the fall but have regained it through the blood of Jesus. Having said that, I felt the Lord impress upon me that this is how we do warfare - it's not in saying this or that, or in being silent necessarily. It's not in the method - it's in the power behind our words. Words that are empty or of the flesh will have no value. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 says:

"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled."

This authority applies to things in our lives, such as sin, strongholds, even sickness. When the spies when into the land of Canaan and reported back to Joshua that they could just take the land because the enemies were afraid of them, they were really speaking of the authority that Joshua and his army carried (of course it helped that the Red Sea was parted, etc.).

I believe we are entering into an intense time, but again, not that we would war with our flesh, but that we would be firmly rooted in Jesus and standing our ground against the enemy's tactics. I also had the sense that He is going to begin to reveal strategies of how to take back ground in our individual lives, in the region and in the nation.
