You Are Not Rowing Alone!
In regard to your prayers: You may feel that you're isolated and in a boat
rowing in circles. The enemy has tried to influence you into thinking that
you are ineffective and all alone. But take heart! There are others on the
boat rowing with you. Even if you can't see them, they are there. God's
intercessor's are praying the Father's heart and taking the boat in the same
direction. You will reach the same destination because it is He who is
directing the boat. The Holy Spirit is with you!
A few years ago I was at a conference that offered several workshops at the
same time. Out of the 9000 attendees, 900 of them attended the session on
prayer and intercession. Just before the speaker took the platform, the
Lord spoke to my heart and said, "Look around at this large number of people."
I turned around and looked from the front of the room to the back and was
surprised to see the room had become totally packed with standing room only.
He said, "When you are in your prayer closet, you think you are all alone
and that you are only one voice trying to make a difference. You feel like
you are not breaking through the darkness and reaching Me. Know that if I
have you praying for something I have others praying for the same thing too.
So don't feel you are alone - as you are all seated together in Christ right
now. When you go home you will feel alone, but you won't be."
"Understand that if you are the only one who obeys My command to pray, I
will hear your voice even if it is the only one speaking My heart. The
prayers of the righteous avail much."
