Covenants
I am the God of Covenants. I made a covenant with My servant Abraham that
his seed would be blessed throughout the ages, that those who blessed them
would themselves be blessed and those who cursed them, the same ensued to
them. He fulfilled his part of the covenant by making Me his God, obeying
My Word through great faith, even to the sacrificing of his son, which he
was willing to do.
On Sinai I made a covenant with My people. I reminded them of the covenant
that I made with their father Abraham and I revealed Myself as their
provider, their healer and their guide. Though they were hardhearted and
chose to go their own way, I still loved them. Though My covenant with
them stood forever, I gave them up to their hearts' desires and they
wandered in the desert for 40 years.
I made a covenant with My people on the cross when I gave My son as the
living sacrifice. I would be their God and they would be My people. I not
only gave salvation, but healing and deliverance from the captive chains
of the enemy. In turn, they were to submit their lives wholly to Me and to
fulfill My mandate to win the lost. I gave them My protection, My guidance,
My salvation, My healing and My visitation.
Yet My people, I ask you in this day, are you fulfilling your part of the
deal? Is your heart given completely to Me? Are you being led by My spirit
or is the flesh ruling?
Think of covenant as a marriage. When you marry someone, you are no longer
separate, making separate decisions but are now one. Two cannot walk with
each other except they be agreed. In marriage both are in love and both
commit to one another. The communication is two ways and not one talking
while the other listens. Your lives, your possessions are all surrendered
to each other, as what the other has is theirs together.
So it is with Me. What's Mine is yours. Do I have ALL of you?
What I have for you is better than anything this earth could ever offer.
Because you believe that, you gave your life to Me. You knew that apart
from Me you could not live, move, or have your being. So, submit your life
to Me.
I have given all in the form of My Son to be the propitiation for your
sins. Now, give ALL to Me. Not bits and pieces here and there. Not
praises and worship on Sundays and separation the rest of the week. Give
your whole self to Me.
As you give yourself to Me, you will find yourself renewed with My
strength and My empowerment to do the things I have set before you to do.
My love will be shown through you unto the hurting lost and those in need.
Covenant is a two-way highway. I have given My all for you. Will you not
give your all for Me?
