Are you listening, don't you hear?
Come a step closer, and draw near.

My plan for you is so good and so great,
come a step closer, let me decide your fate.

I want to reveal my plan to your heart
good things to come, if from me you won't part.

There are things I must say to you, things that I want you to know.
won't you come a step closer, and just let me show?

To show you your purpose, for this I'll reveal,
If you will come a step closer, come to me and kneel.

Seek your great purpose, for there is a reason
that you were created, I'll show you in due season.

I love you my child, and I want you so close,
I have much work for you, you are the one that I chose.

I chose you to help me to set the captives free,
to help the downtrodden and depressed, the poor, the repressed.
To bring sinners to repentance and to teach to them acceptance.
Acceptance of others, both young and old, rich and poor.
for it is to all of these, that I open my door.

So it is you that I chose, to show them the way,
Will you answer my call? Will you do it today?

I'll reveal to you all these things and more,
If you will come a step closer, I will open my door.
