I Am With You In All Things
Dear one, I am with you in the difficult times as well as in the good
ones. There will be times when things don't go the way you expect, but
that doesn't mean that I am not in control. Remember what I said in My
word: "I am able to work in all situations to turn them around for good
and to display My glory in them."*
Remember how I worked to bring the children of Israel out of oppressive
bondage, and deliver them to a land flowing with milk and honey. I did
not simply snatch them up out of Goshen and set them down in Canaan.
Instead, I began to work quietly behind the scenes, raising up the one
I had chosen to deliver them from this bondage. When he was born, the
enemy of My people tried to kill him, along with many other infant boys.
But I was at work in his circumstances, both for his personal good and
for the good of My people. I spared his life and I worked it so that he
came under the protection of the household of the very Pharaoh who had
ordered his death. I caused him to be given back to his natural mother
to nurse until it was time for him to be weaned. Even though the
circumstances around him were bad, I worked in them for good.
I will do the same for you, dear one. So put your trust in Me and you
will not be disappointed.
When Moses grew to manhood, he faced situations left him feeling small
and disqualified. He did wrong by murdering an abusive slave owner, and
because of that, and He had to run for his life. He fled across a desert
to a distant land, far from the place of his birth. It was far from all
that he knew, and far from all that was comfortable and familiar to him.
He felt lost and alone, and assumed that he'd disqualified himself from
his destiny. He completely gave up and embraced a lesser calling. But
I did not leave him there in his place of misery and defeat. I pursued
him; I met him where he was at, and I restored him to his destiny and
calling.
Do you think I would do any less for you, dear one? It doesn't matter
what you've done to disqualify yourself, for My power to redeem is
greater than your ability to do wrong and to make mistakes and bad
choices. It doesn't matter how much you may have soiled yourself,
I am able to wash you, to purify you and to set you back into your
destiny and calling.
In the fullness of time, Moses finally faced the Pharaoh. He performed
signs and wonders, so that My people might be released from their
bondage. But his destiny did not come easy for him--Moses met
resistance every step of the way. But that resistance could not stop
him--for I was with him, and I demonstrated My glory through him.
Things did not fall easily into place for Moses and he had to face
many obstacles and difficulties to fulfill his destiny. But in the
end, he led My people out of Egypt, brought them thought the desert
and positioned them so that they might enter into My promised land to
claim their inheritance. I was with him, and I helped him to fulfill
the destiny that I had designed and created Him for.
Dear one, do not give up when you face opposition or encounter
difficulty. Remind yourself that I will show the greatest levels of
My glory in your life when I cause you to finally overcome that
thing that had resisted you for so long. I have not promised that your
way will be problem free, but I have ordained you for victory, and I
will cause you to prevail over all opposition and difficulty.
I will be with you, just like I was with Moses. There will be times
that I will call you away from the struggle to come up onto My mountain
that you might refresh yourself in My presence and spend time with Me.
I will reveal Myself to you there, and I will refresh you. I will
breathe My life into you and strengthen you, so that you will be
able to successfully fulfill all that I have given you to do.
Yes, I will be with you, and you will overcome. I will indeed bring
you into your promised land and give you an inheritance. So do not
give up hope, little one, for I am with you in all things, and I will
never leave you.
