Shedding
I had a vision of shedding skin, thin layers of skin falling softly to the ground and I asked the Lord what was this I saw?
"Shedding. I am shedding. What you see is a shedding of self. A shedding of the ways of the world that kept me from working. A shedding of attitudes, of pains. I peel away layer upon layer, and with the peeling comes away the dead, the useless. This is a process and many seasons have come, many seasons have changed and still you ask 'Lord, how much more?' Until I am done, Child, until I am done."
"I am giving you a new name. No longer will you be lowly and misunderstood. No longer will you carry the name of a child of the world. You are my child, a child of the King. I am giving you a new name. I am shedding the old and making way for the new. I am changing you. I am changing things around you. I am changing the people you meet. I am constructing my mighty work and I tell you, do not fear, for I know the plans I have for you. Plans to bless and prosper you, plans to plant you in green pastures. Plans to use you for my Kingdom, and I am giving you wisdom, I am giving you a discerning and compassionate heart, I am giving you authority."
"There is none before me. There is none after me. I am found by all those who seek. I have treasures in store for those who persevere and do not let their knees be weakened. Everything I have for you is new and fresh and good. You will stand before me as a new vessel. A vessel brimming over with my gifts. A vessel ready for use. For great use. The Spirit is upon you. Do not fret. Do not ponder over my workings which are taking place in Heavenly realms. When you are ready, you will know."
