word for 2001

Let me described an encounter with the Lord I had on Dec 31 while waiting on God for a word for the new year.

THE VISION

I began to hear the sounds of a woman in the last stages of labor pains in the room next to mine. ( I've had a three fold experience in the natural being my wife's birthing coach) I no longer was in my house but transported to the "Household of God" the Church.

Before I could get to the room the mother had already left and there before me was this new born child laying on the bed. I was shocked , standing transfixed at the sight of this baby.

You see the baby was physically perfect, yet it was made up of many ethnic features. The head was Asian - the arms were African - the torso was Caucasian - the legs and feet were Spanish and the hair was curly red like one from the Celtic race.

As I stood there beside the bed the voice of the Lord spoke to me. "Are you going to pick up the baby or not?" He was not angry, yet He was very intent on breaking my fear and indecision.

My heart cried out "Yes Lord and I went over to hold and comfort the baby. Again the Lord spoke to me.

" This year I am birthing a movement that will be seen in many of the nations of the world - It will not be like other movements - It will

be shocking to the point that My Church will not want to pick up. I AM also birthing a love for the nations in many congregations - I will

heal them in your arms and My Church will be that one new man made up of every tribe and tongue! "

THE INTERPRETATION

We are entering a New Millennium that will be shocking. In the same way I was shocked at the sight of this wonderful yet strange baby so the Lord will challenge us with some very new things in His "Household".

A love for all the ethnic races that are in our cities is being birthed this year. We the Church will pick this baby up. We also will be hard pressed at the same time with what the Lord is about to do. The challenge is to get beyond our fear and to love like He loves.
