Greetings in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ!!

I have been spending a lot of time with the Lord recently, and I wanted to share something that He told me yesterday as I was walking home.

I was walking along the path to my place and saw a penny on the ground.

I heard "Pick it up."

I passed it off as just my mind thinking that I didn't have need for a penny. Then I heard it again "Pick it up."

I said, "But Lord, I don't need a penny."

Immediately I thought of how someone else might need the penny and I might be able to give it to them. My brain was racing with thoughts and ideas about this when I heard the Lord say, "This is how some of my people have been treating my blessings."

Immediately all of my thinking stopped and I focused in on the Lord. I waited and listened.

The Lord said to me, "This is how people have been treating my blessings. So many people pass by my blessings each and every day. They assume that these things are things that they don't need. Like the penny, they don't recognize then as having much worth or as blessings. My people have forgotten what a true blessing is. A blessing is not something that you "need" but it is something that you can use. Like that penny, you can pick it up and add it to what you already have, or you can walk on by and leave it for someone else to receive. My blessings are there. Receive them from me."

May we each have open eyes to see the blessings that God is pouring out to us each and every day!
